Sea front Promenade and Beaches

The seafront walk:

At over 3km long, It runs the entire length of the “Rada Beach” and is i the favorite place for the locals and the visitors alike. There is always something to do and see here during the summer months.

Very nicely fitted with lots of fountains, a beautiful collection of cacti and playground area for children. There are many bars and Chiringuitos along the way where you can enjoy a drink and tapas before arriving at the port. The Paseo Marítimo is a truly special place with great views across the sparkling blue water of the Mediterranean Sea, Gibralar and the North Africa coastline look especially close from here.

A delicious feeling of freedom at the most southern end of Europe.

*“Playa de la Rada”:

The town’s favorite beach has been given the Quality Blue flag Award for its cleanliness and great facilities. La Rada beach is easily accessable with just a short walk to and from the town center.

The large and 3km long sandy beach is almost never overcrowded and features a number of local beachfront restaurants called Chiringuitos where you can enjoy paellas, fresh fish dishes and “Espetos de Sardinas”: fresh sardines skewered on a stick and cooked over an open fire on a small fishing boat.

* “Playa del Cristo”:

A pretty little cove with a beach less than 1 km long. It was also given blue flag award in 2009 and has an unique shape which protects it from the wind- it is an ideal beach for families with small children thanks to its shallows and waters.

It is well equipped with showers, toilets and has ample parking. Surrounded by a grove which that is a popular place for locals families to share Picnics and BBQ’s

Featuring 2 Chiringuitos "El Havana" and "El Lolaillo" both providing good foods drinks and music. Umbrellas and sun beds can be rented for 5 € per day.
Note that El “Cristo” Beach gets very very busy on the weekend especially during summer.
